Ibiza is the synonymous with all-night parties, sex drugs and rock and roll so of course, La Kitkat had to go and check it out. Plane touches down in Ibiza at 01:30 am in the morning and its straight to the car and a pitstop at Km5 (Kilometro cinquo). Gorgeous outdoor dining starting earliest at 11pm and going way through to the wee hours of the morning. Perfect temperatures and lavish outdoor dining and we're ready to dance it up on the dance floor for the rest of what remains of the night. A late start the next day and by noon we emerge to a perfect day, sizzling hot and dazzling blue sea beckon us. In an hour we're in the harbour and firing up the boats engines. Donning string bikinis and sunscreen our boat blasts out of the harbour heading towards the azure blue and ragged coastline of Ibiza. Hair blowing in the wind we cannot help break out in huge smiles at the wonder of it all. We anchor off Formentera surrounded by twenty other luxury boats, break out the wine and jump overboard to cool down as the sun beats down on us. Two hours later a rubber dingy comes to pick us up for our lunch reservation which starts only at four. Body clock is way out! We languish at lunch savoring bread dunked in aoli and seafood rich in flavor. Half prepared Mojitos are stacked up at the bar ready to be ordered and guaranteed that the large tower of glasses will surely be all finished by the jet-set who swoop in for the day. Time to go back and we swim back to the boat to break the lethargy. Musics cranked up high and it dance time and photos for the paparrazi who are lurking in high-flying helicopters and on boats that slink past. Sun goes down and its back to the harbour, home for a change of clothing and ready to rock the night again. So many places too little time. Dinner and then on to the famous Pacha nightclub or Insomnia.
Life is hard in Ibiza.. especially when you're looking for James Blunt the whole time. We were? Oops forgot! Funny how that happens....
